Montana Simone a multi-media artist, musician and curator.

Born in San Francisco, raised in France and based in New York, her work digs into the cultural subconscious and the excavates notions of individual and collective identity to subtly display and challenge our experience of political representation.

Simone's installation, sculpture, video and conceptual works have been called “deeply human” and “intuitively subversive”. Her conceptual installation practice extends to and is informed by the curatorial project that was IDIO Gallery. Both an art gallery and an experiment in "radical hospitality", IDIO produced dozens of exhibitions, performances, publications and lectures in Brooklyn between 2014 and 2017, with a lasting effect on the cultural landscape.

Simone also performs strait music and drums in post-punk band BODEGA.
